https://journal.ilininstitute.com/index.php/ijomcd/article/view/2538

Researchers assessed the impacts of a social justice-infused masters-level counseling program (N = 210) over a five-year period. A social justice-infused masters-level counseling program is defined as a program that teaches social justice concepts as the focal point of each class, with the counseling content being gleaned through that lens. Social justice is not an afterthought in coursework but rather the primary focus. Impacts were assessed using the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI LLC, 2020). Results offer useful data that could inform other counseling programs looking to assess students' overall intercultural, cultural, or multicultural counseling competence throughout their programs.
Tina PaoneNicole PulliamVernon SmithKyle HomerVechihi Zambak

https://journal.ilininstitute.com/index.php/ijomcd/article/view/2520

This research investigates the efficacy of a counseling model that utilizes traditional games to increase self-efficacy in elementary school children. Using a developmental approach rooted in the Borg and Gall model, this research develops a counseling framework that centers on traditional games as an interactive medium for client involvement. Specifically, this research pioneers the exploration of traditional play-based counseling interventions specifically designed to improve children's self-efficacy; an area hitherto unexplored in the literature. Traditional play, chosen for its inherent capacity to facilitate emotional expression and character development in children, serves as an appropriate channel for therapeutic interaction. Through rigorous testing and data analysis, the efficacy of the developed counseling model was confirmed, proven by its high validity and practical usefulness. The results show the effectiveness of the model in increasing the level of self-efficacy in all dimensions so that this model is declared worthy as an intervention strategy because it is easy to access, culturally appropriate, and age-appropriate for elementary school children.
Edy Irawan EdySyarifuddin DahlanFarida AriyaniEen Yayah Hanillah

https://journal.ilininstitute.com/index.php/ijomcd/article/view/2507

Gender empowerment is currently the main focus of attention from researchers, governments, and other stakeholders. The concept of women's empowerment contains various meanings. This paper attempts to look into gender empowerment as a strategy for national development with more focus on women. The data for this study is generated through secondary sources of data collection from journals, textbooks, and materials from the internet. The study recommends that Nigerian government policy should always consider the female gender for necessary support, and upliftment, as this will help to improve their status and enhance national development in Nigeria. Across the country, there is an urgent need for women's development and self-employment training institutes. Empowerment programs initiated by successive governments should be sustained and not allowed to waste. In other words, there should be continuity of programs after each government has left office. The issue of maintenance culture should be revisited and imbibed by government agencies and all stakeholders in development so that the various empowerment programs will not be abandoned and resources invested in the programs wasted.
Kayode AsajuKefas Matakhitswen

The study was carried out through a Research and Development approach from Borg & Gold. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Quantitative data from paired observations were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test to identify whether they were different or not. The Wilcoxon test using SPSS version 22 for Pre-Test and Post-Test data showed that students' moral awareness increased after participating in multicultural counseling activities based on 4S culture.
