CARADDE: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat is committed to maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of the scientific publication record. Corrections, withdrawals, and retractions of manuscripts are carried out only based on clear scientific or ethical considerations and follow the principles and guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Article Retraction
A published article may be retracted when evidence indicates that the content, findings, or conclusions of the article are no longer reliable. Retraction may occur due to, but not limited to, the following conditions:
- Discovery of fabrication, falsification, manipulation of data, or serious scientific errors;
- Duplicate or redundant publication without proper disclosure or citation;
- Proven plagiarism or unauthorized use of other parties’ work;
- Violation of research ethics or ethical standards in conducting community service activities.
Requests or reports regarding article retraction may originate from editors, reviewers, authors, readers, or other relevant parties. The Editor-in-Chief will conduct an investigation, request clarification from the authors, and make a final decision based on available evidence.
If an article is retracted, CARADDE will publish a Retraction Notice online explaining the reason for the retraction. The original article will remain available in the journal archive with a clear “Retracted” status to maintain transparency and preserve the publication record.
Article Withdrawal
Authors may request the withdrawal of a manuscript that has not yet been officially published and whose DOI has not been activated. The withdrawal request must be submitted in writing to the Editor-in-Chief and approved by all authors listed in the manuscript.
Manuscripts that have already been published and assigned an active DOI cannot be withdrawn through the withdrawal procedure. If serious issues are identified after publication, the case will be handled through the retraction procedure.
Withdrawal applies only to manuscripts that are still under editorial processing, review, or revision stages and have not yet become part of the official journal publication record.
Article Correction
A correction may be issued when errors are identified in a published article that do not affect the overall validity, reliability, or main conclusions of the work. Corrections may relate to inaccurate information, data presentation, author details, affiliations, or other minor errors requiring clarification.
Corrections may take the following forms:
- Erratum: Correction of errors introduced by the journal or publisher during the publication process.
- Corrigendum: Correction of errors originating from the authors.
- Addendum: Additional information or clarification provided by the authors to improve understanding of the published article.
The decision to publish a correction is the responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief, with consideration of recommendations from reviewers, editorial board members, or relevant experts when necessary.
Through this policy, CARADDE: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ensures that all corrections, withdrawals, and retractions are handled transparently, consistently, and ethically to maintain trust in the scientific publication process.
